01 About these terms

Librospire is a cloud library management service provided by Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd. (“Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd.”, “we”, “us”). These terms form an agreement between us and the library that creates a Librospire account (“the library”, “you”).

By signing up, or by using Librospire after these terms change, you accept them. The person who signs up confirms that they are allowed to accept them on behalf of the library.

02 The service

Librospire lets a library:

• keep a catalogue of its books and copies, with barcode labels;
• issue, return, renew and reserve books at the circulation desk;
• register members, print library cards and record membership renewals;
• work out fines, collect payments and issue receipts;
• publish its own website and online catalogue, and give members an online account;
• send email reminders and see reports of how the library is used.

Every plan includes every feature; plans differ in the number of book copies and members they allow, as shown on the pricing page. We improve Librospire over time. We will not remove a feature you rely on during a period you have already paid for without telling you first.

03 Accounts and access

• Give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date in Library settings.
• Keep passwords private. You are responsible for what is done through your staff accounts, and should tell us straight away if you think an account has been misused.
• Each library's data is kept separate. Staff of one library cannot sign in to another library's panel or website.
• Members sign in with their library card number and a password they set themselves. The library decides who becomes a member.

04 Free trial

A new library gets a free trial of 7 days with every feature. No payment details are needed to start. When the trial ends, the library panel and website pause until a plan is paid for. Nothing entered during the trial is lost.

05 Plans, fees and invoices

• Prices are in Indian rupees and are shown on the pricing page and on your Billing page. Each plan is billed in advance for the period stated on it.
• Invoices are issued by Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown on the invoice.
• A renewal invoice is issued shortly before your trial or paid period ends, with email reminders before the due date.
• You can pay online through PhonePe (UPI, cards or net banking), or by UPI or bank transfer to us using the details on the invoice. Payments made outside PhonePe are recorded by our team once received.
• If you buy a plan while a paid period is still running, the new period starts when the current one ends.
• If a period ends unpaid, the library panel and website pause. Your data is kept, and the account resumes as soon as you pay.
• We may change prices. A new price applies from your next billing period, never to one you have already paid for.

Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.

06 Your library's data

• The books, members, loans, fines and payment records you enter belong to your library. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Librospire to you.
• You are responsible for having the consent of your members, or of a parent or guardian for a child, for the details you record about them.
• For ID proofs, Librospire keeps only the document type and the last 4 digits of the number, never the full number.
• You can download your loans, payments, fines and members as CSV files from the Reports page at any time.
• If you ask us to delete your library, we permanently delete its staff accounts, books, members, loans, fines, payment records and images. Invoices we issued to you are kept as the law requires.

07 Payments members make to libraries

When members pay fines online, the money goes directly to the library: to its own UPI ID, or to its own PhonePe Payment Gateway account. Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd. does not collect, hold or pass on these payments and is not a party to them. The library is responsible for confirming UPI payments it receives and for any refund of a fine.

08 Acceptable use

You must not use Librospire to:

• break any law, or record information you have no right to hold;
• upload harmful files, or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else's rights;
• send spam through the contact form, reminders or announcements;
• try to reach another library's data, test or bypass our security, or overload the service.

09 Availability and support

We aim to keep Librospire available at all times and take regular backups. There may be short interruptions for maintenance or upgrades; where we can, we announce them in your library panel beforehand. Support is available through the contact page and the details below.

10 Intellectual property

Librospire, its software, design and name belong to Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd. Your subscription gives your library the right to use Librospire while your account is in good standing; it does not transfer ownership. Your library's own content, such as its logo, photos and text, stays yours.

11 Limitation of liability

Librospire is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent the law allows, Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to Librospire is limited to the fees your library paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

12 Suspension and termination

You can stop using Librospire at any time by not renewing your plan, or ask us to delete your library. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that stays unpaid for a long time, after giving notice where we reasonably can. A suspended library cannot sign in to its panel and its website goes offline until the matter is resolved.

13 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell libraries in their panel before the change takes effect.

14 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be settled by talking to us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts with jurisdiction over the registered office of Kakshlink Pvt. Ltd.
